Class 5 license
Passenger vehicle
A motor vehicle with two axles and a net mass of less than 4,500 kg. Also includes motor homes, tool vehicles and service vehicles.
(Class 5 includes classes 6D and 8). Under certain circumstances, a class 5 license can be exchanged without a test (see Obtaining a license).
Class 3 license
Heavy-duty straight truck
A commercial or equipment vehicle with: at least three axles or two axles and a mass of 4,500 kg. or more (class 3 includes classes 4A, 4B, 4C, 5, 6D and 8).
Class 3 licences cannot be exchanged without an examination (see obtaining a licence).
Class 1 license
Truck trailer
A combination of road vehicles fitted with a fifth wheel, or a class 3 straight truck towing a trailer with a net mass of 2000 kg or more (class 1 includes classes 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 4C, 5, 6D and 8).
Class 1 licences cannot be exchanged without an examination (see "Obtaining a licence").

Transport Gilles Lavigne was founded in 1994. We are based in the Boisbriand industrial zone (Québec).
Our company offers general and specialized goods transportation services.
Backed by high-performance vehicles, we can handle any transportation request. Our fleet comprises Econoline trucks, 16-26-foot cube trucks, flatbed trailers, Boom trucks and tractors for pulling various trailers (flatbed, curtain side, 53-foot, drop deck).
Transport Gilles Lavigne carries out deliveries on the North Shore, in Laval, Montréal, Québec and Ontario.
We offer a dynamic work environment along with a group insurance plan.
Our drivers return to the warehouse every day. Therefore, you will be able to go back to the comfort of your home every night.
